HOW TO MAKE TAG
Step 1:  I open all of my Gecko Galz as individual pages with GIMP.  Then I save all the pages in one document.  I copy the images from the sheets that I want to use in my project and paste them into a new document.
Step 2:  I do all my designing of my tag in the new document, meaning re-sizing and placement of images.
Step 3:  I print out my pieces on white cardstock
Step 4:  Use my digital cutter to cut out images or cut by hand.
Step 5:  Ink all the edges with Ranger's Frayed Burlap.
Step 6:  Place all the pieces in place using my glue stick and pop dots.
Step 7:  Used my Art Glitter Designer dries clear glue with the fine tip applicator to apply glue to my images and add glitter.
Step 8:  Used Baker's twine to create bow in button holes then used Glue to hold button in place.  Copper jewelry wire was used as hanger and bow tied at top.

GECKO GALZ 23rd TAG OF CHRISTMAS by Michele Storms

The twenty third tag of christmas
Let It Snow
by Michele Storms

SUPPLIES TO MAKE TAGS

Gecko Galz Digital Snowman Stamp Set

Robyn Gough Paper Set and Digital Images

Designer Paper

Silver Snowflake Stickers

Christmas Stocking Brad

Holiday sentiment “Let it snow” (unknown paper pack)

Promarker Silver Marker

Colored markers and colored pencils

Hole Reinforcement

Ribbon

Distress Inks

HOW TO MAKE TAGS

This tag is all about digital, fussy-cutting and collage!  The tag

base is covered with holiday themed designer paper from my

stash. I used some Robyn Gough designer paper and a Robyn

Gough digital image to create the second layer of background

paper; I printed it, ripped it and adhered it to the covered tag

base.  The row of snowmen at the bottom is from the Gecko

Galz digital snowmen stamp set, I printed them out, fussy cut,

and colored with pencils.  The larger snowman is from the

same digital stamp set.  I printed, fussy cut, colored with

markers and added both all the snowmen stamps to the tag.

I added the sentiment, stickers and brad, as well as the hole

reinforcement and ribbon.  The final touch was tapping my

silver Promarker randomly over the tag to create silver “snow.”

Coat the tag with an even layer of fibre paste. Add a little extra paste around the edge of the tag and use a spatula to create small peaks. Allow to dry thoroughly.

Cut out the skates image and distress and ink the edges. Mat onto a piece of the music paper leaving a small border so the musical notes can be seen. Ink the reverse with Antique Linen. Distress the edges and ink them (front side) with Walnut Stain. Use the glue ben to draw a border around the edge of the skates image and top with silver glitter.Use a cocktail stick to curl opposite corners.
Apply the image to the tag using glue gel. Dry brush white paint onto parts of the holly leaf die cuts and add white glitter over the top to give a frosty appearance. Arrange the leaves so that they create a border around two sides of the tag. Tuck some leaves under the lower corner of the image. Add berries using the Stickles glitter glue.
To finish, create a double bow from the seam binding and add to the top of the tag. Top with a few more holly leaves and some red glittery berries.

The tag itself was made from a silver cover to a throw-away food tray top that was given to us when my hubby came home from the hospital.   The blue in the background is a Gelli print that I had as a scrap.   I added a number of GG images from the Christmas Carols 2 and Chanuka sheets and a couple of stones to one of the images to give it a little bling.  For more bling I added two rows of silver ric-rack and a silvery ribbon.
