place to do just that at the second annual Gecko Galz Retreat!

Galz, as she and her helpers create a relaxing, creative and
fun-filled, all-inclusive weekend getaway!

Every crafter will be provided the following;
Their own work space (which has plugs built in);

The comfortable sleeping accommodations are in the same
building as the craft room.  No need to tread out into the
night to reach your bed!

Gecko Galz will be providing exclusive classes to all that
attend the retreat:

       First a wonderful book class with a guest teacher Pam Allen
       The Second a card workshop with teacher Leanne Seed
And the third a wonderful paper crafting project with Leanne Seed

Unlike other paper craft retreats, Gecko Galz class fees are
included in the price.

The Fees: $250
Two nights with 5 meals – Friday dinner, 3 on Saturday and
Sunday brunch

April Designer Guest; Donna Lanclos

This month we are proud to introduce everyone to a wonderful paper artist Donna Lanclos. Her work is an amazing eclectic combination of vintage flair and whimsy.

So just who is Donna? Well here is a bit about her in her own words.

Donna Lanclos is a self taught crafter who has enjoyed a plethora of crafting since
she was a young girl growing up in Louisiana.  She has formal training in oils,
pastels and charcoal and enjoyed many years of needle crafts.  Donna’s current
obsession is paper crafting, but she also enjoys gardening, reading, Mardi Gras,
cooking, photography, music and life in Cajun country.  She has been published in
Scrapstreet.com and Cricut.com and has won numerous challenges.  Donna has
recently opened the Lazy Lucy Retreat House in Lafayette, Louisiana.  She is
married to her best friend, who indulges her every whim, and together they have
5 children, 4 grand children and 4 fur babies.

Design Team Member Spotlight: Barbara Bird

This month we wanted to take a moment and introduce you to another of our talented Design team members. Barbara Bird is a wonderful paper artist and creates amazing and wonderful cards that inspire us all. So let us tell you just a wee bit about this talented lady, in her own words.

I am originally from Illinois, moved to
sunny California when I was nine. I was
never real artistic as a child (although I
liked all kinds of arts and craft, never
thought I was to good at it). My husband
is the artistic one in the family and guess
my daughter Danielle got it from
him....she was the one that got me into
scrapbooking. I started by redoing my
wedding book that was falling apart. Still
wasn't real into it until my husband
moved me to Texas - kicking and
screaming !!!! My daughter pushed me
out the door and said go scrap and meet
some people. That was the best thing I
ever did, found my artistic self and some
of the best girlfriends I have ever had.
Although I like scrapbooking, I really love
making cards and have even gotten into
making mini books and alittle altering.
My scrapping has gotten a lot more
attention since acquiring my first
grandbaby! Scrapping Kyle sure beats
scrapping my cats !
