I've been in a mixed media mood lately so the background of the tag I cut, has...gesso, paints, stamps, torn book page bits, stamping and modeling paste

The ladies tag was made using one of the Vintage tags (my printer running out of ink made it bluer than it should be) and I topped it with a Cute Little Couquettes lady. Both tag & lady were matted with cardstock. 

The butterfly I've had floating around my desk for maybe a year now...waiting for the right place to land! It was mounted on grunge board, fussy cut and crackle accents was added. 

I also used crackle accents on the mini sentiment tag that I cut! 

I made the bow with my Bow-it-all and simply stapled the other piece of ribbon on top.

I wanted a clean and simple card and I loved these papers so I simply layered them with a couple pieces of cardstock, then using a couple of pop dots I added the diecut with the matted Flower Garden Jewel on top. I added a bow (made with my bow-it-all) and a couple of silver stickers. 

On the inside I reversed the order of the papers so I could have a fuller view of both papers. Added another diecut, that I will add a simple sentiment to, with a bit of the blue cardstock behind it, then finished with a couple more of the silver stickers.

Wow, that's a challenging question...so much wonderfulness to work with out there! When I'm not using Gecko Galz products and even when I do, I love working with My Artistic Adventures digi collage sheets & papers by Heather Hudson!

As far as my style, it is most definitely Vintage with an occasional touch of Shabby Chic!

Homemade Mod Podge-(Elmer's Glue & Water)

I altered my paint brush using Gecko Galz New February Coquette Kit, and Pretty Victorians Collage Sheet. 

I printed them out on light yellow paper instead of white card stock. Working with paper makes it easier to apply when creating a collage on a shaped object like a paint brush.

I tore different sized pieces of paper from the collage sheets, using a mixture of Elmer's glue & water to adhere to paint brush in a collage fashion. I let that dry, and added the Pretty Victorians ladies.

I used distress paint in scattered straw, applying it to the bristles of brush and randomly on my background collage paper, to give it more of a vintage ephemera feel! I burned the edges around the paper to outline the words "Coquetry" & "Vintage" (I love the look this gives to a vintage themed project!)

I wrapped an elastic lace trim piece on brush handle & adhered it with a hot glue gun. The fun part...embellishing! I used found items from my stash.

A lace mesh material was tied to create a hanger.

I created a collage for my tags background using the different digital stamps from Gecko Galz New February Coquette Kit.

Black soot distress paint was brushed on to create a background shadow, before placing the elegant image of the french woman down. This was done to make her stand out more.

Pop dots were used on the Paris Sign & Paris London 1912 stamp. 

I applied a small piece of grunge board colored with black soot distress paint to use under the sentiment, (Style is a simpler way of saying complicated things).

 The entire tag was then inked with black soot distress paint.

Black yarn material was used for tags hanger.

This card is using a piece of gold and cream designer cardstock on which I placed a brown mat and an image from the Lorelei image sheet.  As an accent I have added a glitter butterfly.

Love Life Card

Here is a card showing a Vintage Lady from Gecko Galz's Fair Maiden image sheet..  The image has been enhanced with silver foil corners.  It has been placed on top of some designer paper with a black mat between it and the blue base card.  A glittery black scroll sticker has been added to the bottom.  Underneath the image is an acrylic sentiment.

The  background is from the Parisian Dreams Pack.  I had a hard time picking from these as they all were wonder

Remember Card

Gecko Galz supplies used:

Butterfly image (from Butterfly Wings #2), Brussels paper (from Great Adventure papers), lady image (from Pretty Victorians #2), Post Card image

My stash: "remember" metal sign (making memories), chipboard hearts (Heidi Swapp), white heart doily, pink doilies, Lucky 8 Doily Punch (We R Memory Keepers), Martha Stewart acrylic craft paint, flourish stamp (Heartfelt Creations), Picked Raspberry ink (Tim Holtz)

Directions:

I painted the journal page with a light green paint and then sponged white over the top.  Next, I stamped the flourishes with  Picked Raspberry ink and added the chipboard hearts. I printed the Gecko Galz Brussels paper and punched the blue doily.  The lady image was sized in Photoshop to 3.25" x 5.25", fussy cut and edges inked. She was layered over the doilies and the post card image.  The butterfly was fussy cut from the Butterfly Wings paper, edges inked and applied to the page over a small Gecko Galz piece of paper from my stash.

My favorite products to use with Gecko Galz images are inks, stamps and doilies.  I love the vintage Gecko images - using doilies and flourishes with them add a romantic feel.

CAN YOU TELL US WHAT YOUR STYLE IS?

My style varies, depending on the project I am doing. I love to use bright colors, but I also love pastels and even throw in some metallics now and then! Images and colors really influence my artwork.

WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU LOVE TO USE TO WORK WITH AND IN A FEW WORDS HOW WOULD YOU SUM UP YOUR STYLE?

My favorite products to work with are photo masks and my favorite photo masks are by Amanda Frijo-Tobin.  (previous maiden name Amanda Sok).  I think every single digital piece I do involved a photo mask.  Even "real paper" projects I do often have a photo mask integrated in them somehow.  I always wondered how digital artists got the effect they did until one day I did a search online and found a tutorial on how easy it is to use them. I was hooked!  My collection of them seems endless!

My style is the opposite of minimal, would that be maximal?  lol Maybe "busy" is a better word. There is a lot going on in all of my projects and lots of layers and embellishments, and rich colours and textures.  I am not big on self-restraint.  I also like to incorporate an element of humour and the unexpected when I can.
Whatever my style is, I want to convey a sense of joy and abundance Always.

Instructions:

Begin with a black card base.  Print out two background papers from the Parisian Dreams paper pack. Attach one of the backgrounds to the base covering only the top two thirds of your card base.  Create a pocket by either cutting or tearing a different background and attaching to the bottom part of your card base attaching by the edges only using score tape or ATG tape.  Be sure to cut or tear this piece at an angle so you have a sizable area on the right hand side of the card to support your main image when you attach attach it later.

Print out the Cute Little Coquettes collage sheet and cut out the image of your choice.

Print out and fussy cut the pink rose frame from the Coquette Icons.  Fussy cut around the flowers and leaves at the top right so that you can tuck and attach your coquette image under the roses.

Using pop dots, attach this frame to the card,  making sure not to attach the upper left portion of the frame so that it doesn't interfere with your tag pocket.

Cut out the pink lady from the Coquette Icons 2 and attach her with pop dots, again making sure not to close up your pocket.

Cut out the fan and attach with pop dots at the bottom right corner.

I then added a piece of music note patterned washi tape to the bottom of the card to coordinate with the music note tag, but this is optional.

Attach the love ticket from the Gecko Galz January Kit Love Potion #9 Icons, or other sentiment of your choice.

Print out the collage sheet Vintage Tags.  I used the one with the music notes as it has a blank white area in the center on which to write a private little note before tucking it into the pocket.  

Tuck the tag into the pocket.

My favorite products to use in addition to digital images would be any of my intricate dies to add interest and texture to my creations.

I would sum up my style as eclectic.  I don't like to box myself into any particular style.  I'll try anything once!
