Gecko Galz February Artist Guest; Sandi McLean

This month Gecko Galz has a very special artist guest Sandi McLean. Her work is simply stunning and with a bit of vintage whimsy and we are pleased to introduce you to her.
Here is just a bit about Sandi in her own words

I started scrapbooking about 6 years ago and fell
head long into love with all manner of paper
crafting!  I always want to learn something new.   I
have taught classes at a LSS, been a member of
two on-line design teams and started my own
blog several years ago.   Oh and I have a day job!
I was born in San Antonio, Texas and grew up in
Washington State.  I live in Victoria BC on
Vancouver Island with my husband Bob.  
Between us we have 4 children and now 10
grandchildren!
It was Leanne who introduced me to digital
images a couple of years ago, I have always been
struck by her generosity and am delighted to be a
guest artist for February 2013.

GECKO GALZ JANUARY GUEST ARTIST: SHELLY KANE

Hi Everyone!

We wanted to introdue you to our January guest artist, Shelly Kane. She is an amazing and talented paper artist who does graphicly stunning works of art. Here is just a bit about her;

I am the mom of two teenagers and a little black
pug named Harley. I have been doing mixed
media art for about six years now, and I have a
real obsession with paper! Some of my favorite
images to use in projects are vintage 1920's,
anything retro 1960's, and angelic images. I enjoy
a variety of crafts in addition to mixed media; I
crochet and knit when the weather gets cold! In
addition, I work as a Patient Care Technician
full-time in a rehabilitation facility. I am always
looking to try a new product or technique, and I'm
grateful to have been chosen as a featured artist
for January 2013.

Come Discover the art of making valentines

Hi Everyone!

We here at Gecko Galz are having our 30 days of Valentines where each day we feature a new valentine by one of our amazing and talented design team members with a supply list and instructions on how you can create it. We are unvieling a new Product line

Hi everyone!

We here at Gecko Galz are buzzing about our latest product lines. At the end of  2012 we all sat down and brainstormed on ways to offer products to our customers and followers on a strict budget and we came up with our "Individual Line" these are stand alone products at a lower price for all of you suffering from the economic crunch. So far this month we have introduced you to our individual digital stamps where you can buy one or two stamp images instead of the entire set, these are $2 a piece. Then today we unvieled our single ephemera sheets for $1.50 a sheet and next week we will unviel our mini paper packs which will be 6 sheets for $3. It is a great way to try your hand at digital products while not spending alot. And dont forget we have a wonderful batch of online tutorials by Heather Hudson and all our design team on their blogs show incredible ways to use our products!
So in celebration of our new product line we thought it might be fun to do a gecko galz giveaway with all our blog followers. Hi Everyone!

I wanted to introduce everyone to our Design Team member of the month CAROL SALISBURY. She is our featured designer this month and her wonderful designs are breath taking. Todya you can see her "Owl Always Love You" valentines card as the card of the day on the Gecko Galz website...come discover how she made it.
But first here is a little bit about Carol

I have been a SAHM for many years. Mom, Grammy, wife...
I began scrapbooking to make up for the fact that working and raising three children made it hard to write in a baby book for my youngest... that evolved into heritage books for my siblings and from there I added card making.
After surfing the web I found site after site of beautiful work done by many more scrappy crafters and found atc's, tags and altering items.
Over the last year or so I learned to digitally alter images and I'm loving this new crafty avenue.
I started a blog in hopes to not only share my creation with everyone but to also, hopefully, inspire others.
My absolute favorite thing about crafting is that I get to put a smile on the faces of my children, grandchildren, family and friends.

And we would like to share some of her wonderful designs with you.
