Gecko Galz is pleased to have as our Artist Guest for December an amazing and talented paper artist Lynne Moncrieff. what makes this a special artist is not only her wonderful works but also we are pleased to announce that Lynne is one of our newest members of the Gecko Galz Design team (so you will be seeing alot more from her in 2013). A bit about Lynne,
In 2006 when Lynne was in search of a new hobby she stumbled upon
stamping. That hobby quickly became a passion!
She is self-taught and likes to create a variety of items from
cards, tags, altered art, jewellery, etc. She likes to incorporate
re-cycling, household items and utilise scraps as much as
possible. Without intending to it appears that a piece of lace
always finds its way onto a piece of art, even masculine
themed art! Her style is most definitely vintage with her friends
providing the lovely name of "Queen of Vintage Romance"
and she supposes that does sum up her style. She enjoys spending
time aging trims, tags etc with coffee/tea/walnut ink crystal
baths, very relaxing!
She was a reluctant blogger but at the suggestion from friends who
told her she had nothing to lose, she started her Blog, Adorn in
December 2009 and have not looked back. It has provided the
most wonderful opportunities to be on a variety of DTs (and
Guest Artist). Amongst others, in the past she has been on two
DTs for suppliers of digital collage images. At present she is on
DTs for Oxford Impressions, The Stampsmith and Crafty
Individuals and a challenge site, Fashionable Stamping
Challenge site and now Gecko Galz.
With collage images she likes the versatility of printing onto a
variety of surfaces and also image transfer as well as she also likes to
incorporate her beloved stamps.
She has been published in several Stampington & co
publications:- Somerset Studio, Sew Somerset, Somerset Life,
The Stampers' Sampler, Take Ten, Somerset Holidays and
Celebrations and Somerset Studio Gallery.
Crafting is definitely her passion but so is reading, She has
always been a Bookworm. She has also started collecting
vintage buttons, lace, CDVs and vintage postcards.
Below is a sample of her wonderful works and to see more works by this talented artist visit her at
