JULES EICKMEIER
ALTERED BOOK
I covered a Basically Bare 12x12 D ring album with textured
card stock
and a cream colored large hole netting. I
printed the background
paper and the image of the can can dancer out
onto Studio 71 heavy
weight Canvas and used Stickles (applied with a
brush), Liquid Pearls
and soft tipped colored pencils to enhance the
colors and add texture.
I sealed the canvas with a clear acrylic
spray. I trimmed the paper
print out in lace, added the can can girl,
ribbons and flowers.
The last image is the linside badk page of the
album cover. I printed
the paper onto card stock, used pencils and
Stickles, glued the ribbon
around the paper and added the tiny flowers and
bows at the two
outward edges.
To get to know Jules we asked her the following questions
BESIDES GECKO GALZ PRODUCTS WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO UES?
In addition to the
wonderful Gecko Galz products, I love working with the paints and stencils from
Art Anthology. I love fabric as well and try to incorporate it into many
of my projects. Printing on canvas is my current love as you can probably
tell.
CAN YOU TELL US WHAT YOUR STYLE IS?
My style can best be described at eclectic: a bit of vintage,
throw in some shabby chic and a splash of this and that.
i especially love the birds and butterflies! lovely work all around. xo
