December Artist Spotlight part Two

I wanted to share another set of fantastic artist with you from the DYSU design team. We were fortunate enough to sponser a challenge on their blog site earlier this month and a handful of their design team came up with some amazing samples using Gecko Galz products. We hope you enjoy their work as much as we enjoyed it. Each month we will be sponsering a guest artist and if you would like to be considered for this please contact us at .

Pandy Grenville-Evans
I am a calligrapher at heart.  I scribe texts, make cards, albums and books, scribe poems in my books, make scrapbook pages and work to order.

My style is modern and colourful, with layers and textures, very touchy, feely.  I love papers, ribbons and contrasts - anything and everything to do with paper and ink that keeps me busy!  I craft by solely by hand, from scratch.  I use a knife and rule – and I cut out most of the shapes I use myself.  This does mean that the off knife mark might show – hay, proves it’s real - that is what hand crafting is all about. My fave thing are my inks - alcohol inks - Copics -  distress - acrylic - all yummie

I try as much as I can to include other crafters, as well as craft buyers.  I am always keen to explain how I have made a card, or how a certain technique is done, I make toppers for people to use in their own work and regularly post ‘how to make’ projects and helpful information.

Pandy used our Chopstix stamp set for this card

Hi everyone, my name is Mary. I'm a married SAHM of 2 teens, who keep me hopping. In between the massive amounts of daily driving, I try to sneak in time for a bit of card making and scrapbooking. I began scrapbooking about 7 years ago and card making shortly thereafter.  I lean toward Clean and Simple in my crafting but love trying other styles. Last summer I was lucky to be chosen to join the Design Team at the Do You Stack Up challenge blog. As one of our sponsors, Gecko Galz provided me with some fabulous images to play with. I love how unique and cool the images are and had so much fun creating with them. A big thank you to Gecko Galz for the fabulous product and for this opportunity. Artist Spotlight For December

Hi everyone!

As we rush about doing last minute shopping and our loved ones start arriving we thought it would be nice to spotlight some great artist who have used our products so when you are taking a breather you can be inspired.
These ladies are on the design team for a wonderful blog site  the DYSU CHALLENGE BLOG, they host challenges for all you paper crafters. This month Gecko Galz was one of the sponsors for the DYSU challenge and these ladies came up with some amazing works using our products.

Hi Everyone!  I'm Naomi and I was born and raised in the beautiful Vancouver, Canada area.  I live just outside the city with my man and our two feline fur-babies, Tai and Mischa.
I started scrapbooking with my mom 9 years ago when I graduated high school but, to be honest, at the time, I was more interested in my social life.  About 4 years ago, I began going to crops with my mom to make her happy.  Although I do enjoy scrapbooking and have met many amazing women through it, I never really fell in love with it.  In January of this year, I began making cards and had no idea what I was getting myself into... I barely even knew blogs existed!  After discovering Blog Challenges, I reluctantly started my own blog in February because I wanted to participate.  The rest is history.  I have met so many sweet and supportive ladies and these days I couldn't even imagine a life without crafting and blogging!

Naomi used Gecko Galz All the trimmings Collage set to create this amazing card

My name is Miranda van den Bosch and I’m 47 years old. I have been drawing nearly all my life. At the age of 4 I was making drawings on a blackboard and I’ve never stopped drawing since. When I was little I used to draw portraits and Disney characters. After a while I started to draw fairies and dragons. In time, I joined an art group and learned to draw nudes, still life and portraits too. When I was in my 30ties I became interested in birds and started to draw them as well. And last year I published my first children’s book. It’s an ABC of birds and 26 birds tell you about birdlife in general. About 2 years ago, I discovered card making and how I could use stamps with my colouring technique and style. I really enjoy colouring all the cute images with watercolour or with regular colour pencils. I also like making art journalpages. Quite recently I started to draw my own digis which is a lot of fun to do. A new world of creativity is opening up for me.
If you want to see more of my work please go to

For this Art Journal Page Miranda used Gecko Galz "Angels" collection

On this page she used Gecko Galz "Pixie Dust" Collection

For this adorable little tag Miranda again worked with Gecko Galz "Pixie Dust" Collection

And for this whimsical card Miranda used Gecko Galz "Gobel art" collection

We hope you enjoy this look at two talented artist and be sure to visit their personal blog sites to see more items by them as well as the DYSU Challenge site to enter their challenges.
If you would like to be one of our spotlighted artist or would like Gecko Galz to sponsor a challenge contact us at .
