First of all, you will need to visit all 15 blogs and leave a comment on each blog :) **This is important so we know you have been to all the blogs **. Collect all eleven words and at the end of the blog on the Fripperies and Butterflies site there will be a link to the Gecko Galz website where you will email us the phrase the words make up. This enters you in the contest. On October 31^st we will randomly draw the 4 winners and email each of you, then we will post the winning names on our website and on the Gecko Galz blog site.

Howdy Card

Leanne used K & Co paper as well as brown dot paper from Bo Bunny. Using a Marvy circle punch and blowing up the image to 4" she punched out the image and inked the edges with brown Distress ink in "Vintage Photo". Next just around the brown belly band she tied a piece of twine she got at her local craft store then adhered to the center of the card. She stamped the word Howdy (the stamp is from B & J Art Stamps but you can use the font "Bleeding Cowboy) in brown then pop dotted to center of the card and on either side added 4 red buttons she got in a bag from JoAnns. This is  an easy card that only takes minutes to do!

Kick Up Your Heels Card

For this card Leanne started with a piece of Bo Bunny Paper as her base then cut out a belly band from the Bo Bunny Brown Dot basic card stock and adhered to the center of card front. She took the image of the cowgirl on the horse and enlarged it to 5" tall and using the font "Bleeding Cowboy" wrote Kick Up your Heels is brown and grey (just highlight the words and choose the font color you want). Then inked the edges with her "Vintage Photo" Distress ink and placed on ceter of card front. Next she tied around a piece of cord as her ribbon embellishment and finished with 4 blue bling she got at her local scrapbook store (Archivers). 

Now go to the next site and collect the First word plus your FREE collage sheet.

A Haunting We Shall Go! GECKO GALZ HALLOWEEN CONTEST

Hello to everyone!

We are weeks away from Halloween and all the design team members have been hard at work getting you ready for the hautingly spooktakular celebrations ahead with their inspiring Halloween projects. We here at Gecko Galz thought it would be fun to hold a fun little contest for all our followers here on our blog site. So all you have to do is come up with your own Halloween project using Gecko Galz Halloween products and post a thread in the comments section of this post and on October 31st 2012 we will choose a winner! Meet our Guest Artist For October; Diane Bove

This month Gecko Galz is extreamly pleased to have as our guest artist an amazingly talented paper artist Diane Bove. Without further ado let her tell you a bit about herself!

ABOUT DIANE

I am excited to share my passion for paper
crafting with you. I think we all have so much
creativity built up and hiding in each of us, we
just don’t know how to access it. It’s intoxicating
to feel so proud of what you just made, and the
pleasure you get from giving it to someone is
amazing. I am an excellent organizer, I love to
help people through example and
encouragement, and I love to create beautiful
handmade cards. It is so empowering to take
paper, digital stamps, dies and embellishments
to create beautiful handmade cards. I have a
background in sales and marketing. I live in
Michigan with my wonderful husband and I have
two adult children, who inspire, encourage and
indulge me in everything I do. Along with card
making, I am passionate about cooking. I love to
experiment and make up new recipes, which my
family loves to taste test. I collect antique
cookbooks and I love to read through them to
see how women lived at that time in history. I
have participated in card clubs and card swaps.
