Artist Spotlight For December

Hi everyone!

As we rush about doing last minute shopping and our loved ones start arriving we thought it would be nice to spotlight some great artist who have used our products so when you are taking a breather you can be inspired.
These ladies are on the design team for a wonderful blog site  the DYSU CHALLENGE BLOG, they host challenges for all you paper crafters. This month Gecko Galz was one of the sponsors for the DYSU challenge and these ladies came up with some amazing works using our products.

NAOMI

Hi Everyone!  I'm Naomi and I was born and raised in the beautiful Vancouver, Canada area.  I live just outside the city with my man and our two feline fur-babies, Tai and Mischa.
I started scrapbooking with my mom 9 years ago when I graduated high school but, to be honest, at the time, I was more interested in my social life.  About 4 years ago, I began going to crops with my mom to make her happy.  Although I do enjoy scrapbooking and have met many amazing women through it, I never really fell in love with it.  In January of this year, I began making cards and had no idea what I was getting myself into... I barely even knew blogs existed!  After discovering Blog Challenges, I reluctantly started my own blog in February because I wanted to participate.  The rest is history.  I have met so many sweet and supportive ladies and these days I couldn't even imagine a life without crafting and blogging!

MIRANDA VAN DEN BOSCH

My name is Miranda van den Bosch and I’m 47 years old. I have been drawing nearly all my life. At the age of 4 I was making drawings on a blackboard and I’ve never stopped drawing since. When I was little I used to draw portraits and Disney characters. After a while I started to draw fairies and dragons. In time, I joined an art group and learned to draw nudes, still life and portraits too. When I was in my 30ties I became interested in birds and started to draw them as well. And last year I published my first children’s book. It’s an ABC of birds and 26 birds tell you about birdlife in general. About 2 years ago, I discovered card making and how I could use stamps with my colouring technique and style. I really enjoy colouring all the cute images with watercolour or with regular colour pencils. I also like making art journalpages. Quite recently I started to draw my own digis which is a lot of fun to do. A new world of creativity is opening up for me.
If you want to see more of my work please go to www.mirandascardcreations.blogspot.com

For this Art Journal Page Miranda used Gecko Galz "Angels" collection
